Blackjack Betting Strategy
There are three main blackjack betting strategies you can use while playing blackjack at King Solomons Casino. If you are a fan of blackjack, King Solomons offers SEVEN different types of blackjack games (so JOIN NOW so you can PLAY TODAY!). The first is simply using the options you have in the game (SPLITTING, DOUBLING DOWN, and SURRENDERING), but knowing exactly how to use them when blackjack betting. The second, card counting, is difficult to do and frowned upon in land-based casinos, and the final blackjack betting strategy, memorizing strategy cards, is hard work and does not necessarily pay off when blackjack betting. Below is an explanation of each bet blackjack strategy to allow you to make an educated decision of which one to use.
STRATEGY #1:
SPLITTING, DOUBLING DOWN, and SURRENDERING
If you know when to use each of these rules, and use them appropriately, you will find that you win more blackjack hands than you lose. Most people, when blackjack betting, do not use them correctly, and therefore lose hands they may have won. This is not a fail safe strategy, but there are no foolproof blackjack betting strategies, period.
SPLITTING: Split your hand if your pairs are in the middle (5, 6, 7 or 8) and do not split your hand if the pairs are high (9, 10, jack, queen, or king). However, the best hand of pairs to split is aces.
DOUBLE DOWN: This bet blackjack strategy is best to do when your hand is a total of 10 or 11 and if the dealer’s facing up card is a low number, like 4, 5, or 6 – never double down if the dealer has a strong number!
SURRENDER: When your dealt hand is 15 or 16, you will probably bust if you hit. Therefore, in times like this (and if the dealer has a high facing up card, like a 10 or face card), surrendering is the best option, because you only lose half of your bet. (Note: not every casino, especially online ones, offers this rule).
STRATEGY #2:
CARD COUNTING
This is a favored blackjack betting strategy of hustlers and is therefore not recommended. The way to count cards is to give each card a point (rank them). For example, cards 2-6 get one point, cards 7-9 get zero points, and cards 10, face cards, and aces get negative one point. There is nothing illegal about this blackjack betting strategy as long as it is done in your head (without an electric device). However, if a land-based casino even suspects that you are counting cards, they often kick these people out of the casino. Card counting is definitely a strategy known to work (books are sold on this, articles written online, and even youtube videos on it), but it’s a gray area strategy to use since casinos frown upon it.
STRATEGY #3:
STRATEGY CARDS
This final strategy requires memorization of cards that look like this (there are many different kinds of strategy cards), and it is not a foolproof blackjack betting strategy in the least bit! But many players swear by this strategy, which is why it is listed here.
